Moving from
one place to another over a short distance is a trip, and over a long distance,
visiting different places is travelling, and a person who travels is called a
traveller.
In the
beginning, people used to travel in search of food and suitable land. Then
people started travelling for trade and exploration. These days, people travel
mostly for pleasure. Therefore, travelling can be said to be a pleasurable
activity.
Because of
the invention of modern vehicles, it is easier for people to go from one place
to another. Travel agents and agencies arrange a traveller's needs like
tickets, accommodation, etc. Since everything is done for travellers, they are
free to travel and enjoy their holidays as well as do their business.
Travelling
not only gives a traveller a chance to see new places and meet people, but also
broadens the mind. One can get much knowledge about others' customs, culture,
and the way they live. A person comes across many things through travelling and
knows what the world is like.
Travel has
made tourism the world's biggest industry. Although travelling seems to be
costly, it is not expensive compared to the happiness of a person. To sum up,
travelling is the morning sun rays of happiness in a busy life.
