Sample 1]: Essay on First Aid (291 words)
The basic
treatment that is given by an ordinary person or by a first aider to a person
hurt or injured in an accident before the arrival of the doctor or before the
person is taken to the hospital is known as first-aid. It can be given on the
spot or on the way to the hospital. Moreover, this kind of treatment given to
anybody who falls suddenly ill is also called "first aid."
First aid
ranges from cleaning a wound and bandaging it to dealing with serious wounds or
injuries caused by major disasters like a fire, tsunami, volcano, or
earthquake. The credit for first aid goes to Henry Duna, who directly involved
himself in giving aid to the victims during the war.
The aim of
first aid is to save the casualty's life from the most dreadful enemy of living
beings—death. Likewise, the goals are also to prevent the casualty's condition
from getting worse, to promote healing and recovery, and to arrange for a
doctor or an expert as soon as possible.
We must
understand ABC to understand first aid. ABC has a very significant meaning
because A stands for "airway"; B stands for "breathing" and
"C" stands for "circulation of the blood. Whatever it is, it is
intended to circulate oxygen and blood in the victim's body if possible during
the early period of the accident.
Furthermore,
every person, wherever they live, must have a box known as a "first-aid
kit" (box) at home or in the office. If it becomes possible, many lives
can be saved from an untimely demise.
To sum up,
first aid education is an essential education not only for schoolchildren but
also for everyone for the betterment of humanitarian feelings and responsibility.
