Sample 1]: Essay on Advertisement (200 words)
An 'ad' or 'advert' or 'advertisement' is a notice or picture or
film telling people about a product or a job or something else like that.
Generally, an advertisement can be seen on TV, in a newspaper, or in a
magazine. Billboards, hoarding boards, or radios also carry advertisements.
Therefore, an advertisement is the act of making something public.
Advertisements are always designed to catch the attention
of viewers or readers. Therefore, advertisements use well-known personalities.
Humorous and strong catchy slogans are used on the posters and on TV for
advertisements so that they are repeated time and again in one's mind. When it
gets repeated, people remember the product, and the name of the product becomes
familiar to them.
These days, people are busy and they do not have time to
talk to each other about something. When they are free, they either listen to
the radio or watch TV. During the break, they see many ads and make up their
minds to buy or not. People easily trust the ads without questioning them.
To sum up, in today's world, trade is only based on ads. No new
product, though it may have high quality, can reach the customers.
